A super easy 2-ingredient recipe for chocolate ganache, made by combining dark chocolate and heavy cream. It's perfect as a topping, filling, or for piping on desserts like macarons.
Place chopped chocolate in a bowl. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to gently simmer. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate, then let it sit for 1-2 minutes to allow the chocolate to soften. Use a spatula or whisk to stir until completely combined and the chocolate has melted. Rest the ganache for 2-4 hours until the temperature reaches 35F (or leave it overnight) until completely cooled and thick.
Ganache tips:
- If the ganache cools and is a bit thick, add a tiny bit of heavy cream, whip it, and then pipe.
- If the ganache cools and is a bit runny, whip it until light brown and then pipe (this creates whipped ganache).
